Stacy Schilter acquired her Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy, as well as Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University in 2007. She is particularly interested in contributing her voice to the prevention of eating disorders and works to support individuals as they combat their self-defeating thoughts, identify effective coping strategies, and begin utilizing their voice. She has led numerous support groups and has spent time doing presentations for various populations in the Olympia and Seattle areas. During the six years she has been working in the field, her enthusiasm and experience has influenced the lives of many individuals, parents and families affected by eating disorders and dangerous dieting behaviors.
Outside of working with individuals and families combating the disordered eating mindset, Stacy has developed her knowledge of chemical dependency, addictive behaviors, trauma, grief and loss, identity development, relational difficulties, affect regulation and career transitions. She has also received training in Lifespan Integration, a new technique which relies on the innate ability of the body-mind connection and has been extremely effective in the treatment of various different mental health / life challenges.

Dr. Hardebeck earned a Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Seattle Pacific University in 2001; she previously earned a masters degree in counseling from Saint Martin's University and a bachelor of arts degree in child development/deafness from Antioch University. Dr. Hardebeck has experience treating a wide range of mental health and emotional issues in both children and adults, as well as specialized training/experience in psychological and neuropsychological evaluation. I earned a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology (Marriage & Family Therapy) from Chapman University in 2007. I also graduated from The Evergreen State College in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organizational Behavior, and from South Puget Sound Community College in 1991 with an Associate Degree in Accounting.
I began my counseling career in 2002 after working for twelve years as a Payroll Accountant and Human Resources Manager. My first counseling job was as a Vocational Rehabilitation / Career Counselor. For over five years, I helped many injured workers successfully re-enter the workforce. During this time, I earned two national credentials in Rehabilitation Counseling: one as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), and the other as a Certified Disability Management Specialist (CDMS).
Currently, I have a private counseling practice as a Mental Health Counselor, while working half time for the Washington State Department of Labor & Industries. In my private practice, I work primarily with people who struggle with disordered eating, negative body image, and related emotional and relationship challenges.
I hold a Washington State credential as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, and provide counseling for adults, couples, families and adolescents over the age of thirteen. I can bill some insurance plans (such as Premera Blue Cross, Zenith Administrators and First Choice) as an out-of-network provider. I also offer a free, 20-minute consultation where you can discuss your goals for therapy, your insurance benefits, or any other concerns you might have about the counseling process.
